The Alberta Roofing Contractors Association helps contractors build stronger businesses.

Whether you are an independent contractor or a small business owner, navigating an industry as complex as roofing can be a full-time job. When things feel overwhelming, support from a supportive and collaborative community can go a long way. The Alberta Roofing Contractors Association (ARCA) exists for that exact purpose: to support and further the careers of roofers and the roofing industry.

Affiliating yourself either as an independent contractor or as a business owner with ARCA can build your credibility within the roofing industry. ARCA hopefuls must meet rigorous professional standards, including posting a Financial Surety Bond, complying with ARCA bylaws and policies  and prior membership in the Canadian Roofing Contractors Association (CRCA). Belonging to a national and provincial roofing network can help contractors stand out in competitive marketplaces. 80% of commercial roofing applications in the province are performed by ARCA members, giving the organization a high degree of credibility.

As a CRCA affiliate, ARCA offers a selection of invaluable resources to its members including advocacy on the national and international level, technical support including manuals, bulletins and phone support and networking opportunities in the form of events and conferences, a member directory and more. Members also have access to legal support specializing in the bidding and tendering process, contract drafting, negotiating and dispute resolution. These resources can make a significant difference to small business owners who lack the resources of large-scale developers.

The resources provided by ARCA give Alberta roofers the opportunity to invest in the long-term success of their business. The professional standards required, as well as the warranty certificates offered, give customers confidence in the workmanship they receive and their performance in the future. At the same time, ARCA gives contractors access to perks such as legal help, installation manuals and guides, while continued education allows them to grow their business and community with confidence in their own knowledge.

Apply for membership today and take your roofing business to the next level.
