Expand Your Metal Industry Skillset at METALCON 2023

The Best Practices Learning Center at METALCON 2023 is offering a variety of educational sessions for all members of the metal construction industry. 

One of the best features of the METALCON 2023 show is their wide range of educational sessions. Many of these sessions will be held at the Best Practices Learning Center inside the expo hall. Each session offers knowledge from industry experts about how to achieve success with your metal construction company. This year’s METALCON will be held October 18 – 20 in Las Vegas, Nevada, so register today if you haven’t already! 

Here are some sessions at METALCON 2023 you won’t want to miss. Most of these sessions are approved for continuing education credits: 

Wednesday, October 18 

• Understanding the Customer Experience & Digital Transformation: In this session, you’ll learn all about understanding how a customer experiences doing business with your company and how to implement technology to help grow your business. The session will take place from 11:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. 
• Accounting Doesn’t Have to Suck!: Learn how to understand your company’s key financial issues and brainstorm solutions. This session will be held from 12:45 p.m. - 1:45 p.m. 
• Winners and Losers: Those Who Control Their Metal Prices Versus Those Who Don’t:  During this informative class, you’ll learn about embracing risk management and gaining insight into your company’s buying behaviors. This session will take place from 2:15 – 3:15 p.m. 
• State of the Industry – Presented by the Metal Construction Association (MCA): Join speakers Jeff Henry and Tom Seitz from MCA and Bob Zabcik from Z-Tech Consulting as they give you an inside look at the current state of the metal construction industry. The session will be held from 3:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. 

Thursday, October 19 

• Assuring the Successful Continuation of Your Company: Learn how you can successfully continue your business with succession strategies and liquidity planning. This session will take place from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. 
• Sales 101: Successful Sales Strategies from Cross-Selling to Up-Selling: David Stahler, director of sales at S-5!, will show you the ropes of how to successfully cross-sell and up-sell. The session will be held from 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. 
• Buying MCM: What the Industry Has In Store For You: In this session, you’ll learn about metal composite materials (MCM), what building codes affect them, how they react to fire testing and more! It will take place from 2:15 p.m. - 3:15 p.m. 
• Powerful Strategies for Converting Asphalt Shingle Leads to Metal Roof Sales: Join Todd Miller, president of Isaiah Industries, as he teaches you strategies for turning asphalt shingle customers into metal roofing sales. This session will take place from 3:45 p.m. - 4:45 p.m.
