How Do You Keep Roofing Projects on Schedule?

Keeping a roofing project on schedule can be challenging when you’re dealing with changing weather, material deliveries, inspections, and unexpected issues once the tear-off begins.

I’ve found that even a small delay at the beginning of a project can affect the rest of the schedule, especially when several jobs are lined up. Clear communication with the crew and homeowner seems to make a big difference, but every contractor probably has their own system.

How do you usually plan your roofing schedule to deal with unexpected delays? Do you build extra time into each project, or adjust the schedule as issues come up? I’d also be interested to hear what tools or methods you use to keep customers updated when a job takes longer than expected.
