Falls remain the leading cause of death and injury in the roofing industry, accounting for at least one-third of all construction fatalities. NRCA’s advanced two-day fall-protection trainer course is designed for roofing professionals responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining their company’s fall-protection program. Through an immersive learning experience with an emphasis on practical skills, this course equips participants with the knowledge and skills to teach fall protection effectively and enhance job-site safety. The course provides in-depth instruction regarding:
- The role and responsibilities of the competent person in fall protection
- Hazard recognition and the application of fall-protection knowledge to proactively prevent falls from heights
- Managing fall-protection systems and ensuring compliance with fall protection standards, including OSHA and American National Standards Institute
- Adult training techniques and using turnkey training materials to educate roofing workers regarding fall prevention
