GAF and Optimum Roofing partner to install new roof, giving new life to White City Community Centre

GAF and Optimum Roofing give back. 

GAF, North America's largest roofing and waterproofing manufacturer, has partnered with Optimum Roofing to provide a complete roofing system for the White City Community Centre in Saskatchewan, Canada, helping preserve a critical community gathering space while saving public funds that would have otherwise been spent on a roof replacement.

The White City Community Centre serves as a multi-use hub for residents throughout the area, housing the White City Public Library, the White Butte Museum and municipal office spaces. It also hosts a variety of community programs and activities, including fitness and educational programming. The building, which has supported the community since 1991, was in need of a new roof after years of wear and tear. 

Through the partnership between GAF and Optimum Roofing, the community centre will receive a complete roofing system and warranty, with Optimum Roofing, a GAF Master Elite® contractor based in Regina, leading the installation effort. 

"Optimum Roofing had been actively searching for a meaningful opportunity to donate a new roof and give back to the community that has supported us,” said Derek Carson, Sales at Optimum Roofing. “When we learned that the White City Community Centre, located right in our own backyard, was in need of a roof replacement, we knew it was the perfect fit. As a local company, we are proud to support a facility that brings people together and plays such an important role in the community.”

The White City Public Library, part of the Southeast Regional Library system, is among the primary beneficiaries of the project. The library has been serving the community since 1993, and the new roof will help safeguard the building and the services it provides to residents of all ages, including book clubs, preschool storytime, crochet club and language classes.
