NimbusLabs gives contractors more control over when and how new JobNimbus features enter their workflows.

JobNimbus has launched NimbusLabs, an early access environment designed to let roofing and exterior contractors evaluate new features before they become generally available. Through the program, account administrators can browse upcoming tools inside JobNimbus, activate features that fit their businesses and test them in live workflows. Contractors can then provide feedback directly within each feature, helping JobNimbus determine whether the tool should be refined, retired or included in a future general availability release.

“We don’t want to build features in isolation and ask customers to adapt after the fact. NimbusLabs lets customers try new tools early, tell us what works and help us improve them before broad release. That feedback makes the product more useful in the real world and keeps us focused on solving the problems our customers actually face,” said JobNimbus Chief AI Officer Tyler Folkman.

JobNimbus plans two general availability releases each year, one in the spring and another in the fall. Features that meet the company’s requirements will become standard for all accounts during a scheduled release, accompanied by advance notice and training.

Among the newest tools available through NimbusLabs are Analytics and Analytics AI. Analytics provides prebuilt dashboards and a report library drawing from a single data source, while Analytics AI allows team members to ask business questions using natural language. Analytics Enterprise adds custom dashboard creation and consolidated reporting for multilocation operators.

Olympus Roofing Chief Operating Officer Cason Curriden has used Analytics AI through NimbusLabs to create custom dashboards. Cason noted, "This is 1000x better than Insights or classic reports. I've spent the last few hours chatting back and forth with the AI builder, creating custom dashboards that will save me hours of reporting and tracking work every week."

Other early access features include AI Material Order Import, Job Workflow and Board Builder, Threads and the Modern Image Editor for Estimates. NimbusLabs is available to every JobNimbus account, with features accessible through account administrators.

JobNimbus earned the top position in G2’s Roofing Software category based on verified customer feedback.

For roofing contractors comparing business management platforms, feedback from industry peers can offer valuable insight. JobNimbus, an AI-enabled CRM platform for roofing and exterior contractors, has been named the No. 1 Roofing Software solution by G2.

G2 ranks products using customer satisfaction scores from verified reviews and market presence. According to the announcement, JobNimbus finished ahead of 72 competing solutions, with reviews reflecting factors such as ease of use, quality of support and likelihood to recommend. “Earning a Leader position in a G2 Report is highly competitive and rooted in verified customer reviews,” said Godard Abel, co-founder and CEO of G2. “Congratulations to JobNimbus for achieving this distinction. Buyers can be confident this ranking reflects the authentic experiences of real users.”

The recognition highlights the role connected technology can play in helping contractors manage their operations. JobNimbus connects stages of the job lifecycle, including attracting and winning work, managing production, collecting payment and driving referrals.

“This recognition comes straight from roofing contractors who use JobNimbus every day,” said Chief Revenue Officer of JobNimbus , Bryan Oram. “It tells us that giving contractors one connected system, instead of a handful of disconnected tools, actually changes how they run their business. That's the validation that matters most to us.” By listening to the pain points roofing and exterior contractors face, the JobNimbus team created a highly intelligent platform that caters to the specific needs of its users.

JobNimbus plans to continue gathering direct customer feedback and staying connected to the roofing businesses that use its platform. The company reports that more than 8,000 contractors currently use JobNimbus.

Join JobNimbus for their annual summit.

Running a successful roofing company requires more than great craftsmanship. It takes strong systems, efficient processes, smart leadership and a network of peers who understand the challenges contractors face every day. That's exactly what roofing professionals will find at the JobNimbus Solution Summit (JNSS) 2026, taking place November 29 through December 2, 2026, at the Hard Rock Hotel in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Designed specifically for contractors, JNSS is not your typical conference or trade show. Instead, it's a hands-on business summit focused on helping roofing companies improve operations, increase profitability and learn directly from contractors who have already solved many of the challenges others are still trying to overcome. Attendees will spend four days learning, networking and collaborating with fellow business owners, industry leaders and the JobNimbus team.

Practical lessons you can put to work immediately

One of the biggest reasons contractors attend JNSS is the opportunity to walk away with actionable strategies they can implement as soon as they return home. According to JobNimbus, sessions focus on real-world business challenges and solutions rather than theoretical concepts. Contractors can learn from industry peers who have built successful companies and are willing to share what worked, what didn't and the lessons they learned along the way.

The event features specialized learning tracks tailored to different roles within a roofing company, including owners, sales professionals, production teams and administrative staff. Topics range from leadership and profit margins to estimating, close rates, job costing, billing and workflow management. This means attendees can bring multiple team members and ensure everyone gains valuable insights relevant to their position.

Get an inside look at what's next

For companies already using JobNimbus, JNSS offers a unique opportunity to connect directly with the people building the software. Attendees can preview upcoming product features, discuss their needs with the development team and even help influence future enhancements. Contractors will also get early access to insights from the Peak Performance 2027 Roofing Industry Benchmarks Report before its public release.

In addition, JobNimbus experts will be available for one-on-one account consultations. These personalized sessions can help contractors uncover efficiencies, solve workflow challenges and maximize the value of the tools they already use every day.

The networking might be the best part

While educational sessions are a major draw, many attendees say the networking opportunities create the biggest long-term impact. JNSS brings together hundreds of contractors from across the industry, creating opportunities to exchange ideas, compare business strategies and build relationships that continue long after the event ends.

The summit's schedule intentionally blends learning with networking. Poolside workshops, hosted dinners, rooftop gatherings and beachfront events create an atmosphere where meaningful conversations happen naturally. Whether you're looking for advice on scaling your business, improving operations or navigating market challenges, there's a good chance you'll meet someone who has already faced the same situation.

More than a conference

JNSS 2026 begins with an evening welcome event on November 29, followed by two full days of educational programming, workshops and networking opportunities. The final day includes closing sessions and key takeaways before departures begin. Throughout the event, attendees will enjoy the amenities of the all-inclusive Hard Rock Hotel, including accommodations, meals, beverages, resort activities and transportation between the hotel and Los Cabos International Airport for qualifying arrival and departure dates.

For roofing contractors looking to improve their businesses, strengthen their teams and gain fresh perspectives heading into 2027, JNSS offers an opportunity to combine professional development with meaningful industry connections in a unique setting.

Reserve your spot

Registration for JNSS 2026 is currently open, and space is limited. If you're looking for practical business insights, direct access to industry leaders and the chance to learn alongside contractors who understand your challenges, this is an event worth considering. Join hundreds of contractors in Cabo this November and return home with new ideas, new relationships and a clearer path forward for your business.

Meet the Women Tech Awards Rising Star recipient.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming businesses across nearly every industry, and roofing is no exception. From automating administrative tasks to improving customer communication and lead management, AI-powered tools are becoming increasingly common. But according to Kaili Smith, SVP of marketing innovation at JobNimbus, successful AI adoption is not about replacing people or chasing the latest technology trends. It is about creating systems that help people do their best work.

Kaili has built her career around a simple philosophy: automate what’s repeatable, protect what’s relatable. Throughout her leadership journey, she has helped scale companies through smarter systems, operational efficiency and a deeper understanding of customer needs. Her focus has never been on doing more for the sake of growth. Instead, it has been about building processes that allow teams to spend less time on repetitive tasks and more time on the work that truly matters.

For roofing contractors, that message hits close to home. Running a successful roofing business requires balancing sales, project management, customer service, scheduling and countless administrative responsibilities. Technology can help streamline many of these activities, but the relationships that drive trust, referrals and repeat business still depend on people. Kaili believes the best use of AI is to free employees from routine work so they can focus on serving customers, solving problems and making better decisions.

Her practical approach to innovation has earned widespread recognition, including a place on Utah Valley BusinessQ’s 40 Under 40 list. Most recently, she was named a 2026 Women Tech Awards Rising Star, an honor that recognizes emerging leaders who are making a significant impact through technology and innovation.

The award is presented by the Women Tech Council, a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the technology industry through leadership development, mentorship, innovation and community building. For years, the council has worked to elevate technology professionals, support career growth and create opportunities for future leaders. Through initiatives like the Women Tech Awards, the organization highlights individuals who are advancing their industries while helping others succeed along the way.

Kaili’s recognition reflects more than her accomplishments with technology. It also highlights her belief that the most effective tools are the ones people trust and embrace. In her view, businesses often focus on implementing new software or technologies without considering whether employees and customers feel comfortable using them. Even the most advanced solution can fall short if users do not understand its value or trust the process behind it.

That lesson is particularly relevant as roofing contractors evaluate new technologies. Whether implementing customer relationship management systems, leveraging automation tools or exploring AI-driven solutions, success depends on more than features and functionality. Adoption, training and trust play a critical role in determining whether a new tool becomes a business asset or an unused investment.

The Women Tech Council’s mission of building, innovating and mentoring aligns closely with Kaili’s leadership philosophy. Both emphasize that technology should empower people, create opportunities and support meaningful growth. As roofing businesses navigate workforce challenges, evolving customer expectations and increased competition, those principles can provide a valuable framework for evaluating new approaches and technologies.

On September 17, industry professionals will have the opportunity to celebrate Kaili’s achievement as a Women Tech Awards Rising Star and hear more about her thoughts on AI, business growth and innovation. Her perspective offers an important reminder that technology is most effective when it enhances human strengths rather than attempting to replace them.

For roofing contractors looking to improve efficiency while maintaining strong customer relationships, Kaili’s approach provides a practical roadmap. Automating repetitive work can create more time for the conversations, decisions and relationships that drive long-term success. In a rapidly changing business environment, that balance between technology and the human touch may be one of the most valuable competitive advantages a company can have.

A consistent review strategy can strengthen customer trust, improve close rates and turn a roofing company’s reputation into a measurable business asset.

Online reviews have become a critical part of the customer decision-making process, and roofing contractors that actively manage their reputations may be better positioned to win more work. “Did you know 90% of homeowners say reviews are crucial when choosing a roofer?” said Kaili Smith, senior vice president of marketing innovation at JobNimbus. “What if I told you that mastering one simple metric, your star rating, is the secret to boosting profits?”

According to the information presented by JobNimbus, a full-star rating increase on review platforms can correlate with a 5% to 9% revenue increase for local service businesses. For a roofing company generating $1 million annually, moving from four stars to four and a half stars could represent an additional $25,000 to $40,000 per year.

Strong ratings alone are not enough. Contractors also need a process for requesting reviews, responding to feedback and using positive testimonials throughout their marketing.

Kaili emphasized that negative reviews do not always result from problems with the finished roof. “47% of homeowners cite that most of the time they left bad reviews was because of poor communication and no follow-through,” she said. “So honestly, the key and secret to getting a great five-star review is about communicating and about responding to the customer super well.”

Contractors can strengthen their review programs by responding to every review within 24 hours, leading with empathy when addressing criticism and providing a clear solution. They can also simplify the review process by sending customers a direct link through text or email shortly after project completion.

Automation can help companies maintain that consistency. JobNimbus reported that only 2% of contractors automate customer communications, even though automated requests can help businesses work toward a benchmark of 200 online reviews.

Once reviews are collected, contractors can feature the strongest examples on their websites and social media channels. Detailed reviews highlighting communication, cleanliness and problem-solving can reinforce trust while giving prospective customers a clearer picture of the company’s service.

Industry leaders explain why financial discipline, diversification and customer education matter as roofing businesses navigate economic and insurance pressures.

During a live Coffee Conversations® discussion at the Florida Roofing and Sheet Metal Association (FRSA), roofing professionals examined the pressures impacting contractor success across the United States. The panel agreed that shrinking backlogs, insurance changes and aggressive pricing are forcing companies to strengthen their operations rather than chase every available project.

What market shifts are creating the most concern for contractors?

As contractors adjust to a changing business environment, John Kenney, chief executive officer of Cotney Consulting Group, said several challenges are creating uncertainty at the same time. He shared:

“I think insurance claims and understanding the industry’s new insurance rules are causing a lot of angst for contractors. AI, robotics and other technologies are also major issues people are trying to understand. Contractors are also watching prices, fuel costs and shrinking backlogs.”

John encouraged contractors to use slower periods to improve their companies and pursue work that fits their established capabilities. Bridget Jenkins Wilson, owner of Cardinal Roofing, added that roofing is cyclical and contractors should prepare during strong years for the slower periods that follow.

How can contractors move from storm-dependent work to retail sales?

Changes in the insurance market are also pushing some roofing businesses to pursue more retail work. Adam Bensman of TAMKO® and the Roofing STRONG Alliance said this transition requires more than simply finding a different type of customer. He explained:

“The hottest trend in roofing is the shift from storm-dependent to retail-driven business. I am seeing roofing companies that were built to catch or chase storms, but lack formal sales processes and structure, now trying to learn how to sell retail.”

Adam warned that companies without structured sales processes may respond to pressure by discounting projects below sustainable levels. Bridget emphasized educating homeowners about policies, deductibles, materials and payment responsibilities rather than relying on high-pressure sales tactics.

What should contractors prioritize during an economic slowdown?

Although contractors cannot control the economy, John said they can improve their decision-making by developing a detailed understanding of their financial position. He noted, “Right now, you need to know your numbers, understand exactly what your overhead is and focus on the work your business is best suited to perform.”

That financial clarity can help contractors avoid pursuing unprofitable work simply to keep crews busy. Marc Hansen of JobNimbus agreed that contractors need reliable systems for estimating, customer communication, payment collection and follow-up. Bridget also encouraged companies to examine everyday expenses, material waste and internal financial controls.

The panel’s message was clear: Contractors cannot control market cycles, but they can control their pricing, processes and customer experience. Companies that understand their costs and serve homeowners transparently will be better positioned for the next phase of the market.

JobNimbus, the AI-enabled CRM for roofing and exterior contractors, today announced an improved native integration with Angi (formerly Angie’s List) (NASDAQ: ANGI), a leading digital home services marketplace. The integration automatically surfaces new Angi leads inside JobNimbus the moment a homeowner submits a request. This allows contractors to move from inquiry to estimate to scheduled job without switching platforms or duplicating data entry, helping save valuable time and reduce manual administrative work.

For contractors running at volume, the gap between a new lead and a booked appointment is where margin and reputation are lost. Every manual step in that handoff, copying a phone number, re-entering an address, moving a name from one system to another, is a point where speed slows and follow-up falls through. The JobNimbus x Angi integration eliminates that gap entirely, connecting the point of homeowner interest directly to the contractor's operational workflow, enabling pros to focus less on paperwork and more on serving homeowners.

"In roofing, speed wins. Every manual step between a homeowner's request and a booked job costs a roofer time they don't have. With Angi and JobNimbus connected, the lead lands ready to work, so contractors can go straight from inquiry to scheduled crew faster than ever before," said Marc Hansen, SVP of marketing at JobNimbus.

“At Angi, we’re focused on making it easier for pros to win more jobs," said Eden Hammond, senior vice president of sales strategy, Angi. “By integrating directly with JobNimbus, contractors can move from new leads to active jobs faster by eliminating manual data entry so they can focus on delivering great service to homeowners.”

How it works:

New leads submitted through Angi appear automatically in the JobNimbus lead pipeline, no import required

Contact details, job type and homeowner notes sync directly into the JobNimbus record

Contractors can trigger estimates, assign crew and schedule site visits from a single view

Lead status updates in JobNimbus can be configured to reflect back to the Angi dashboard

Smaller repair projects can help roofing contractors build trust, maintain steady workloads and create opportunities for future replacement work.

While roof replacement projects may generate larger contracts, JobNimbus has seen that repair work can still offer roofing contractors valuable opportunities between major jobs. From fixing leaks and replacing damaged shingles to repairing flashing, gutters and drip edges, smaller projects can help crews maintain a consistent schedule while strengthening relationships with homeowners.

Filling the Income Gap

Many contractors hesitate to accept repair jobs because they can require time and resources that might otherwise be devoted to larger installations. Some repairs may also produce lower profit margins than full replacements. However, when replacement work slows, a repair project can provide income that would not otherwise be available. Most homeowners don't replace a roof until they have to, usually after storm damage or normal wear, which means replacement demand is inherently reactive and unpredictable, according to JobNimbus's Peak Performance 2026 report. Repair work is what fills the space between those cycles.

Sharpening Crew Skills

Repair work can also help crews sharpen a wider range of skills. Contractors who primarily specialize in one roofing system may encounter different materials, installation methods and problem-solving challenges when completing smaller repairs. Addressing leaks, damaged shingles or failing flashing gives crews an opportunity to apply techniques they may not use during routine replacement projects.

Building Homeowner Trust

Perhaps the most significant benefit is the chance to build trust with homeowners. A contractor who responds to a smaller concern, communicates clearly and completes quality work can become the homeowner’s first choice when a larger project becomes necessary. During the repair process, contractors may also identify additional damage and explain those concerns to the property owner without overstating the need for replacement. When that happens, having a record of the repair and the conversation on file, rather than relying on memory or a paper ticket, makes it easier to follow up credibly when the homeowner is ready to talk replacement.

Fitting Repairs Into a Tight Schedule

Repair jobs can also help fill gaps in the schedule. While a typical roof replacement takes two to four weeks start to finish, most repairs can be completed in a few hours or within one day, giving contractors an easy way to generate revenue without disrupting a crew's main workload, especially when they have clear visibility into what's already on the calendar.

Whether repair work represents an occasional service or a dedicated part of the business, these projects can support steady production, long-term customer relationships and future opportunities.

JobNimbus, the AI-enabled CRM for roofing and exterior contractors, has been named the #1 Roofing Software solution by G2, ranked entirely by the people who use it every day.

G2 is the world's largest and most trusted data source on B2B software. Unlike analyst rankings or vendor-sponsored reports, G2's ratings come from verified reviews written by real users. Earning the #1 spot means JobNimbus customers made this call. "Earning a leader position in a G2 report is highly competitive and rooted in verified customer reviews.
"This recognition comes straight from roofing contractors who use JobNimbus every day.
What the #1 ranking means:

G2's Roofing Software Grid® Report ranks products on two dimensions: customer satisfaction scores drawn from verified reviews and market presence. Reaching the #1 position requires consistently high ratings across the categories buyers care about most: ease of use, quality of support and likelihood to recommend.

Only about 10% of all vendors on G2 earn a spot in any given quarterly report. Ranking #1 means JobNimbus outperformed 72 competing solutions based entirely on what customers said in their own words.

What comes next:

This ranking was earned by listening to contractors, and that's exactly how JobNimbus plans to keep it. JobNimbus is staying close to the field, through direct customer feedback, a robust partner ecosystem and the community of roofing businesses who use JobNimbus every day, to make sure what they build next actually reflects what customers and the roofing industry as a whole, needs.

JobNimbus thanks current customers for their continued trust and for the reviews that made this ranking possible. If you're evaluating roofing solutions, see why over 8,000 contractors already choose JobNimbus.
